We already limit the domain that can request access, and it would be nice to disable the ability for users in certain OU's to be able to request access, but still give access, because Remote Desktop is a good tool for troubleshooting. Until Google adds an individual On/Off switch for Chrome Remote Desktop, this is what we are stuck with. ![]() Open Chrome and try to install the extension. Go to HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google. Right click on regedit.exe and click Run as administrator. If you have users that can't use this, you'll need to set their OU's Age Based access settings to indicate all users are over 18, or add them to an exception group that is marked as all users are over 18. Solution If you have admin rights in your computer, follow the steps below to lift this restriction: Close Chrome Search for regedit in Start menu Right click on regedit. If you have admin rights in your computer, follow the steps below to lift this restriction: Close Chrome. So now, only users in OU's or groups that have been designated as All users are over 18 can use these services, include Chrome Remote Desktop. ![]() After running into this in my district, it looks like Chrome Remote Desktop falls into the Additional Google Services that don't have an individual On/Off switch, which are now restricted for OU's or groups that have Age Based restrictions in place (Account -> Account Settings -> Age Based access settings in the admin console.)
